In the FISHER XP-2 speaker system, the many advantages of FISHER high-efficiency high-compliance design have been incorporated in a unit of moderate price. Through its carefully evolved design, the XP-2 offers a remarkable transient response and an unusually high overload capacity. Frequency response is smooth and transparent throughout its range, and the low-frequency is of a quality heretofore associated only with larger, far more costly and bulky speakers. Two eight-inch low-frequency speakers of free-piston design, each with a 1 1/2-inch voice coil, assure splendid reproduction of bass tones and increased efficiency at the low end of the audible range. The upper range is reproduced by a 5-inch cone capable of a truly clean response up to 15,000 cycles.
